Have you resolved your screen orientation issue?
With some video cards a set of key combinations will change the screen
orientation. On my Lenovo laptop, the key combinations of ctrl-alt followed by
an arrow key will change the screen orientation. Ctrl-alt-left-arrow flips from
portrait mode to landscape with the standard left to right flow of text.
Ctrl-alt-right-arrow is landscape with the text upside down. Ctrl-alt-up-arrow
sets the screen to standard portrait mode. Ctrl-alt-down-arrow flips portrait
mode upside down.
