Window-eyes developers, have you considered partnering with Nv Access?
At this point, I mean all things considered, why not? From what I heard
from the Nv Access personnel at CSUN, they seem like a nice enough,
knowledgeable, approachable group, I mean have lines of discussion even
so much as been opened up? If not, why not? Has anybody here been able
to have a look at the NVDA training material? From what I've heard, it's
not very, quote unquote, basic, at all. Quite on the contrary! I hear
it's rather comprehensive, and pretty well put together to boot! I think
it'd be a real shame to see all that Gw Micro has worked for and
accomplished over the years to end up being basically for nothing. Would
you not agree that would be a sad thing? One thing that I think could
work out to be a mutually beneficial solution could be for the
Window-eyes developers to partner with the Nv Access group. I mean if
Window-eyes is already free for anybody with Microsoft Office 2010 or
later, then perhaps some of the revenue given by Microsoft per the terms
of that agreement could be contributed to the Nv Access group in return
for round table dialog discussions between the Window-eyes developers
and the Nv Access group on how to best move accessibility forward. Ya
know? Thoughts?
