I've been doing a lot of reading up on this, it appears the future of Windows is a universal platform that can run any app written in any programming language. So, in theory, it won't matter what device or platform you're using. With slight modifications, the same universal app could run on any device and/or platform.

For example, you could have an app that was written and runs on the Windows desktop, but it will also run on Windows Mobile, i-OS and Android, etc.

MS already has accessibility built into many of the controls used in these universal apps and they say they are working to make them even more accessible. If Window-eyes or Jaws could add a little extra support then that's all we would really need.
