Yep. Those SSD’s make a world of difference. My wife has a dell laptop from a few years ago with 4 gigs of memory. I put in a Crucial 275 gig SSD, and, the thing runs like a new computer. In fact, it runs a heck of a lot faster than it did when it came out of the box. I bet if I had put another 4 gigs or so in the laptop, it would fly even faster.

I personally have not encountered those problems with Window-Eyes. I am still on office 2010. A lot of the problems that people have with Window-Eyes is crashing, but there is a way to fix it. The way to fix it is to install Window-Eyes with no virus, spyware, or what have you, running. Also, it isn't recommended to have any bloatware on your machine when using Window-Eyes. I run Window-Eyes on both my desktop and laptop computers and it runs like a charm on them, and it takes 5 seconds to boot up, as I have an SSD drive in both of them. Before I had the SSD drive in my laptop, it took 20 minutes for Window-Eyes to start. Now it takes 5 seconds now, due to the SSD drive. -----Original Message----- From: Talk [mailto:talk-bounces+skyt=shaw...@lists.window-eyes.com] On Behalf Of Jo Taliaferro via Talk Sent: Friday, April 07, 2017 1:09 PM To: ukekearu...@valtdnet.com; Window-Eyes Discussion List Subject: Re: future of window-eyes I listened to part of the main menu podcast the other day and I was surprised at how little was said about the future of window eyes. For now, the word is that nothing is changing. I don't know what that means! I just don't want to get caught not having the things I need to do the work I need to do. Outlook 2016 is just not working for me and I am not not not going back to best buy because they keep putting things on my computer that I don't want. I am up-to-date with window eyes and I still have an SM a left. I have no idea what's going to happen to that! Just my take on things. I might make the switch. The podcast in question HAD SCANT information about Window-Eyes! In fact, it seemed as if the statement made was COERCED or somewhat FORCED out of the mouth of the interviewee. For me to believe that Window-Eyes is alive, I shall have to see either the same, or something close to the same kind of service I once had with GW Micro. If that's not the case, then, obviously Window-Eyes is dead and it's only a matter of time before its funeral is announced and we can bring grave flowers and also kick dirt over its grave!
