Thanks Chris,

My issue was that I thought it was like the other things, you know, combo boxes, grin. If I tabbed to one it said checked and tabbing to the other said checked, so I thought the one I last set would be the setting I wanted. Anyway, I have now unchecked both boxes and will restart later to see what happens. In my case, having both WE and Jaws start after Windows was loaded has caused my computer to shut down several times. I appreciate your fast response. Take care,

Carol

Were they check boxes?

control-backslash,
Go to general/set start up options.
From the tree, you can press alt-t.
You should get UAC.
Uncheck the two checkboxes and hit ok.
Reboot.

Subject: Window-Eyes at startup settings

Hi Group,

I have made changes to WE so it will not start when the computer loads.
I went into settings and set the first option to start after log on and
the second option to start never. I did get the UAC asking permission
and I answered yes, as I am the administrator. Twice since making
change, I have restarted my PC and it still runs after Windows loads.
What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Carol
