You have to go to basics and switch JAWS to laptop layout for the caps lock to work as the insert. However, you can use all of the desktop keys, you just have the caps lock key now. If you want, you can learn the laptop key commands right at your finger tips, but you do not have to. You can leave the desktop commands like you are used to, but if you switch to laptop lay out, you can use the caps lock key which makes a lot of the commands easier to do as well. Ed, don't you have a regular keyboard? If you do, the Insert key would be part of the Numpad set of keys, and not the one above the delete key. I do know that there are laptops that DO NOT have the Numpad; for this, if memory serves, the CapsLock key is also being used as a modifier.
