Can you please create a tutorial for those running pop? -----Original Message----- From: Talk [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Chris G via Talk Sent: Tuesday, May 30, 2017 4:12 PM To: Donald L. Roberts via Talk Subject: Re: To fellow BECKY! users
If you are using imap you'll need to create the filters on the server and not in Becky. Becky doesn't run filters automatically on new imap messages, only pop. You would need to run the filters manually. The advantages of having the filters on the server is you create them once and they work for every computer/phone/tablet you configure. I receive email from a number of high traffic list and also some low traffic lists as well. I have set up folders for each high traffic list and another folder for the low traffic lists. I have thus far not figured out how to filter these messages into the appropriate folder with Becky whereas doing so with Thunderbird works great. If you Mike or anyone else could provide a step by step example of how to do this, I would probably use Becky as the email client of choice. Has anyone tried using BECKY! with JFW yet? If so, how did it go? 2. Besides using nicknames in BECKY!, what are the steps and keystrokes to select multiple recipients of a new composed message? I'm used to Outlook Express where I could be in the address book, arrow to a name and press alt and "the letter t" to add a name to the "To" line, alt and "the letter c" to add the selected name to the "CC:" line, or alt and the letter "b" to add the selected name to the "BCC" line. Is there a BECKY! way to do this? Since this is not specific to Window-Eyes, please respond to me off-list at [email protected] Thanks.
