Again, BARD is not effected by this current announcement at all. let me
quote the original message so we can clear this up and i'll save you a
phone call.
The new NLS website is currently scheduled to go live at the longstanding
NLS URL of www.loc.gov/nls<http://www.loc.gov/nls>
this coming Sunday, July 9th. There will be no change to the URL for the
homepage. Your bookmarks to the longstanding NLS URL for the homepage will
still function correctly and take you to the new site. The longstanding URL
for BARD login will also remain exactly the same. No changes have been made
to BARD or the NLS catalog.
So as you can clearly tell, no changes have been made to BARD. Remember,
the NLS website, and the BARD website are 2 separate ones.
The one they're referencing in the above message is the site that gives
information about the NLS itself, which again is located at
http://loc.gov/nls
The bard website is located at:
http://nlsbard.loc.gov
BARD may get a new version at some point but that's a ways down the
road. I believe the idea is to get the new version of the NLS website
up and running first, and then in a few months the BARD website will,
hopefully, receive updates.
But that's what's happening.
