I wouldn't say he was paid off, just forced into a situation where had
no say in what was happening. I fforget which one, but remember when
one of the original founders of Apple was fired by Apple. Reminds me of
a book I read long long ago. It was "why s o b s succeed and nice guys
fail at business"
