I think all these functions and more are in JAWS. In particular, there are a huge number of settings pertaining to web browser operation. One way to get started is to press insert-H within a given program such as Word or a browser, and start reading. In many cases, these help windows act like web pages, with hyperlinks on the individual items. On the web, the Insert-Tab items are broken out onto insert-function keys for different types of items. You can also use insert-1 to go into keyboard learn mode, where in a given program the hotkeys you press will briefly describe their functions, just like in Window-Eyes.
The closest thing to "read status line" or ctrl-insert-S is insert-PgDn.
Read current line is insert-up-arrow.
Read to end is insert-down-arrow.
There is a lot to learn in JAWS, and your muscles have to be retrained in many cases. It's a pain, but it's probably worth it.

Subject: RE: Does Jaws have . . . .

Some of Window-eyes' features I've found really useful have been

Read page elements: insert e;

Speak summary: control shift s;

Display page navigation dialog: insert tab reads comments, huyperlinks
spelling errors and more).

I wondered if Jaws had the equivalent? As Jaws calls things by different
names I'm having difficulty searching to look this up myself. And lastly, do
we treat notifications the same with alt n to access the open/save options
etc.

Hope someone can help.

My aim is to learn half a dozen Jaws keystrokes a day but it is a relief to
be typing this back in good old Window-eyes!
