I think her point is that she won't have to pay to maintain a screen reader license once on a Mac platform. I like Voiceover on my phone, but cannot bring myself to invest in a Mac, especially while still using Windows at work. NVDA is certainly a nice option to keep the cost out of the Windows picture.
