Hi Carol, I don't wish to flog a dead horse, but it shouldn't be necessary to go to the website for software running on your machine since there is always a built-in mechanism for manually and/or automatically checking for updates. As for Windows itself, typing the word check into the search box should yield the result check for updates, and pressing Enter on this result opens a control panel dialog displaying the current update status, along with options for uninstalling updates.
