Just to mention: I don't know of any country using the metric system that is familiar with the term "kph". The unit symbol is "km/h" and so everbody uses *kmh*. AFAIK is "kph" an expressession from American English. And since the folks over there aren't experts on the metric system ;-) you should be careful joining their terminology. just my 2ct, Sven Ps: KiloPerHour also wouldn't make much sense as well.
