Continuing this thread regarding Mumbai roads. I am new to this group and coverage of existing data is excellent for Mumbai.
As mentioned earlier, roads/ POIs deviate from original locations. I am trying to correct it by recording routes in GPX. Have a few of them with me. Is it possible to compare GPX routes with Yahoo maps ? Aim is to check accuracy of Yahoo maps in various localities. If Yahoo map is correct, that makes job of tracing routes easier. Other then that, how could I incorporate GPX routes in open street maps? Few trips : 1. Lilavati hospital to Hub Mall in Goregaon http://www.everytrail.com/view_trip.php?trip_id=36565 2. Malad Exit on Western Expressway to Lilavati Hospital Mumbai http://www.everytrail.com/view_trip.php?trip_id=36569 3. Mindspace, Goregaon to Jan Kalyan Nagar, Malad West http://www.everytrail.com/view_trip.php?trip_id=36571 Same route , another day : http://www.everytrail.com/view_trip.php?trip_id=36573 Routes seem to match Google maps.
