Steve, In the current phase, Tripod is a research project entirely. Using data under a license that prohibits commercial use is not prohibitive now. The final product of the project is intended to be exploited commercially though - there are commercial partners on board as well - so we couldn't and wouldn't use this data when the product goes commercial. Right now, however, we are in need of good quality aerial / satellite imagery to be able to demonstrate that the concepts will work.
