I have a NaviGPS BGT-31, and I've very happy with it. It's small and portable. It has bluetooth *and* an SD card. I have a 2GB SD card in it. When I turn it on, it just logs. I can put it in my bag or pocket and forget about it and trust that it will have a good signal. I don't need to have a PC on to log. The battery life is amazing. I can easily get 36 hours of continuous logging out of it on a full charge. It's very good at picking up a signal. I'm usually able to get a signal from inside an airplane (eg: http://flickr.com/photos/rorymccann/2808502876/in/set-72157607009061061/). I have a 2GB SD card on mine, and I've only used about 100MB so far. I doubt I'll ever be able to run out of space. You can pick one up for about €100 from storage depot and feel good that part of that money goes to the OpenStreetMap Foundation.
