That's fair to say. I put my faith in the people of OSM, not the license. The process of editing OSM is what protects us. We're a community, and if you try to take data outside the community, you voluntarily separate yourself from the community (note: the Amish don't kick people out when they shun them -- they note that the person has separated themselves from the community -- and the community responds in turn).
