Sure. Go to www.itoworld.com, sign up for an account, and then look at OSM Mapper. Create an "Area" for your area of interest and look to see how many users there are and over what time period they've been active. BTW, DaveHansen did the TIGER import. You could help start up some mappers in your area, y'know.
