If, by users, you mean the likes of Flickr, then I have to disagree with you. The vast, vast majority of manufacturers spend a lot of time trying to make their products simple to use so they sell more units.
Also, in this instance, how would disallowing True/False, 1/0 make it rigid or have less choice? Because they all represent the same options, nothing would be lost.
