Hi, Actually, i just used Adobe Reader to open the PDF file. and under Tools> Select & Zoom > Snapshot Tool Im able to select the area. and it promts me that the area was copied to the ClipBoard
Then with that plugin PicLayer i just select PicLayer>New Picture Layer from clipBoard I use Garmin Mapsource to get some anchor points that are available on the map (my map actually shows a grid). I think 3 is good. But also with visual map features references that have already been mapped) and re-size and move around until it is correct. the more points i can line up the page to, the better. The benefit of this method is that you can zoom into the PDF as close as the quality allows. Then you can pan around and get more detail as you go.
