On those pages you mention: "This could lead to objects with 10.000 points and more" isn't this a separate problem that exist today, and will be continue to be a problem for every area scheme that you list. Except you will need to handle it manually by splitting up ways/areas/relations like we do now? I agree that the side effects from manually splitting ways, areas and relations differ alot.
