is there a way to share foursqure data with osm? Do foursquare users

they

yes, but Valent's question is still interesting: it would be great to have
foursquares data released under ODbL or provided with explicit permission to
import into osm (but I doubt they are planning to do so in the next time, in the
end besides their community the data is their asset).

But we don't want the 'extras' that foursquare add actually on the map. The locations they are directing to need to be on the map and that should be already available data? What am I missing here :) All of the searches I've pulled up appear in the base map. Foursquare are the sort of third party use that dovetails in nicely - not that I actually use it ...
