Now I understand the occurrence of Maps.me POI simultaneously with a
redundant note. This is even worse than I imagined.
I searched the Maps.me issues tracker for "is:issue comment note" and
found nothing reporting that behaviour.

understand how it works. It does at least make you log in to
OSM. I entered in a comment on the change, however, I note
that maps.me <http://maps.me/> overwrote my user-entered
comment with a generic comment in the changeset.
