Remember, when you post, what you are doing is entering a bunch of things (your identity, the title, the thread identification, the forum identification and your text) into a MySQL database through a PHP script. Another PHP script then assembles and displays the various parts. It isn't a HTML page that you're looking at, so the HTML rules don't work. When I archive Salons (and the few other discussions that get archived), I convert everything to HTML pages. That's more stable, easier to fool around with, and easier to move from one computer to another.
