I'm pretty sure that the PC Suite interface has a section that
displays the messages you have on your phone. When I tab around PC
Suite's interface, I hear something like "Messages" and then a bunch of
what sounds like HTML source code. I don't find this very accessible,
but I always assumed this meant that a sighted person could use PC suite
to see the messages on your phone. ditto for calendar entries. I assume
that PC Suite isn't "receiving" the message but rather is reading the
messages from the phone and watches an event to know when the message
list has been updated. I wouldn't be surprised if they used a Windows
bubble to indicate a new message has been added to the message list.
Like I said, this is just some speculation on my part because I'm not
sure what a sighted person sees, and I'm not interested enough in this
feature myself to dig into it.

helped me out earlier every time a text message came in my laptop

Bernard, to answer your original issue I don't think the text message
from the phone is stored on your PC. I think what you are perhaps
hearing is PC suite telling you the phone is connected or not
connected when for example the connection is lost.
