Sounds like the keypad lock is getting enabled. Press menu, Tools, Settings
and then Security and check the keypad lock timeout.

Hi
I am writing on behalf of my friend. He has just got a new
second hand nokia n72 with talks. When he turns it on, it
works ok for about 15 seconds then it all goes quiet, no
talks, no phone ringing sound, no vibration when the phone
rings, any suggestions please? The keyboard is silent and he
has just got a new battery, I think personally it is one of
the profiles but I really don't know.
