I'm not sure advancements in technology mean every single task will immediately become easier. I'm sure many complained about how there were some things that were harder to do in Windows 3.1 than DOS, but in the end, a graphical user interface did seem to be an advancement in technology. Maybe we'll feel the same way about touch screens in the future.
