hi folks I solved the problem! It appears that I didn't have the latest version of eloquence, 6.1.126. I found that version on the nuance website and installed it. Then, I replaced the existing eloquence 8 KHZ (read eloquence english US) with a 16 KHZ one and the problem was solved.
