Brigitta Winkler, who lives in New York and Berlin, will be in the Bay
Area for a short stay during the second week of December. She has a
background of ballet and modern dance and has been dancing Argentine
tango for 20 years. While studying in Paris, she met Coco Orlando Diaz,
with whom she subsequently performed in Paris, Montreal, and Toronto.
Brigitte´s teachers in Buenos Aires have included Juan Carlos Copes,
Antonio Todaro, Pepito, Gustavo Naveira, and Eduardo
Arquimbau. She is a very popular teacher in Portland, Denver, and other
parts of the country, as well as in much of Europe.
Since 1987 has performed with companies in Berlin and other European
cities. Brigittas recent tango activities have included Tango Mujer in
New York, Town Hall and Symphony Space, Berlin Podewil (1998) and
Colorado Dance Festival (1999) Tango Marathon in the Theaterhaus
Stuttgart, 1994 Tango Vision in Berlin and Tango Mundo in Berlin. She is
a frequent guest
teacher at Dance Manhattan, and incorporates into her interpretation of
tango and Body Mind Centering.
Apart from her grace and skill as a dancer, she is truly one of the most
gifted teachers currently involved in Argentine tango. Dont miss out on

Nassopoulos, who has been teaching Argentine Tango in the Bay Area for
five years, will be assisting Brigitta.
