This is a personal invitation to be part of our 2nd Annual Milonguero
Weekend over Labor Day, Aug 31 - Sept 3, 2001. Full details have been
posted at the Tango in Colorado Website, http://www.tango.org/dance

All events are very close to downtown Denver, so you will not need to
rent a car. Tango Colorado is arranging for lodging assistance. It is
possible to do ALL the events for $75 plus airfare.

Please note we are doing another Tango Exchange on Memorial Day
weekend on a smaller scale. Everyone is invited, although this one
will be primarily oriented toward people within a driving distance
from Denver. It will be kind of a local practice for the big event in
September.

Calling all lovers of close-embrace tango dancing

What is so special about the Colorado Milonguero Weekend?

 (1) It is about dancing, not workshops
 (2) It is about fun, not technique
 (3) It is about rhythm & music, not figures and patterns
 (4) It is about meeting, other people as fanatic about tango as you are.
 ...
 (99) It is about dancing so close you can feel your partner's heart beat.

This year I will be offering a prepaid weekend pass of $75. This
represents a savings of $21 over individual purchases. It also gets
you priority consideration for lodging.

Even if you are only attending the milongas or choosing events
a-la-carte, please register so I can plan ahead. A $10
donation/registration fee is requested, which will help defray office
expenses.

This year will feature live music. Please trust me on this...the
orchestra is great!

The orchestra is called The Tango Camerata with Dan Diaz on
Bandoneon, Pablo Aslan on Bass. They do great milongas and capture
the Pugliese sound, Their waltzes provoke flowing, spinning turns.

Pablo will do his famous "Musicality for Tango Dancers" workshop on
Sunday. Tom Stermitz will add a dancer's perspective to this.

We may get 100 this year so we'll have to split the classes on
Saturday. This will make more space for everybody.

The pricing will be as follows:

2 Live Milongas $20 each
1 Outdoor Milonga Free ($10 donation)
3 Saturday Clases $12 each
1 Sunday Musicality: $20

Individual Total $96
Weekend Pass: $75

Local Teachers/Organizers

If you are a local teacher/organizer and expect to bring some of your
students, please contact me regarding special events and incentives
for organizers/teachers. On Saturday we will be having a mini
conference on Tango Organizing.
