ESMERALDA'S IRREGULAR TANGO PARTY

This Friday night, April 27 at Stepping Out Dance Studio, 37 West 26th
Street, 9th floor---
-212 245-5200

This new space is greatly enhancing the New York City tango scene!!

$10 admission 9:30 Free beginner class included.

Dancing non-stop from 10 to 1:00. It is friendly, it is welcoming, it is
Esmeralda's.

With D.J., Robin Thomas, we will continue to use the format of the typical
B.A. salon--which means that the music will be played in sets or "tandas" ( a
series), perhaps four tangos, three waltzes, three milongas or variations on
this.

Between sets there will be a "cortina"--which means a break or cut (a
different piece of music inserted to notify the gathering of the end of a
set).

During that time people can clear the floor, sit down, or circulate to find
their next partner, and...

it is traditional to dance the set, or "tanda" with the same person, which is
an important idea because often it takes more than one dance to figure out
how to make a nice connection with a partner. And this dance is about making
a good connection with a partner, or all is lost.
