Brooke Burdett, who is known for her balanced and accessible approach to
tango, will be teaching workshops in the United States and Canada from May
25 - July 25 of 2001. (Her itinerary is below). Brooke brings a unique
blend of North American sensibilities to a deep personal understanding of
the tango from her four years of living in Buenos Aires.

A life-long dancer, Brooke's effort and enthusiasm helped initiate the
Denver tango community in the mid-1990s. She moved to Buenos Aires in early
1997 to deepen her understanding of the dance and the culture, and has
studied with many of the older generation's tango masters and the younger
generation's most prominent innovators.

An expert leader and follower, Brooke teaches and performs in Buenos Aires,
the United States and Canada, and she appears in instructional videos with
Daniel Trenner and with Mariano "Chicho" Frumboli. Her approach centers
around the art of improvisation and the development of core elements such
as structure, technique and musical interpretation. She is an incredibly
clear teacher with unique insight!
