Hello, Timmy ask me for a brief introduction of myself to the Tango community, so since I am an intelligent limited person I write in third person, Matias de Valentin Alsina 26 years old milonguero from Buenos Aires Argentina. Matias' teaching is focused in the social dance and musicality of Tango. His approaching include technique for posture, balance and musicality. Matias has been teaching for the government of Buenos Aires, together with Lidia Ferrari and Jose Luis Lussini, with Lidia he also is developing programs of continuing education for several Universities around the world based on the evolution of the Tango as cultural movement. He also have been working with Tommy O'Conell teaching their particular style of Milonga called "Milonga con Falsety" In the coming 4 weeks Matias will be in Cleveland at Belindas' bar, teaching will be focused in the constructive elements of Tango dance as Posture, Balance, Weight Transfer and embrace plus rhythm of Tango, double time and syncopation's, and for social dance change of directions, pivot for turns, walking forward and backward and how to avoid collisions with your partners in the dance floor. Of course boleos and ganchos will be also part of the different classes but with measure. A couple of Milonga workshops will be included before November 3rd week, and a weekend workshop is scheduled for November 17 & 18, so do not be desperate, instead of that came to the previous classes and check out what Matias has to offer.
