We work in fundamentals, posture, balance, lead and follow, rhythm and technique. Price: $12 per class. Paid in advance, $40 or $50 per person for a 4 or 5 week session.
DIRECTIONS: Lake Merritt Dance Center The Historic Oakland Veterans Hall houses the Lake Merritt Dance Center. 200 Grand Avenue, at the intersection of Harrison St. and Grand Ave. on Lake Merritt. Enter from the west on West Grand Ave. off I-80 and I-880. Proceed across downtown Oakland, under I-980, to the Hall on Lake Merritt. Enter from the North off of I-580 at Oakland Ave. and merge onto Harrison Street and down the hill to the Hall at Grand Avenue on Lake Merritt. Convenient parking is available next to the Hall and in the surrounding area. BART: The 19th Street/Oakland BART station is an eight-block walk from the Hall. Exit the BART station and walk North on Broadway 4 blocks past 20th 21st & 22nd streets to Grand Ave. Turn Right on Grand Ave. and walk 4 blocks East to the Hall on Grand and Harrison.
