There is still time to register for Southern California's only week-long tango festival, held June 28-July 6 at the beautiful Crowne Plaza Redondo Beach Hotel. This is a star-studded event with 13 of the finest tango maestros in the world: from Buenos Aires, Milena Plebs and Ezequiel Farfaro, Carlos Copello and Alicia Monti, Julio Balmaceda and Corina De La Rosa, Nestor and Patricia Ray, Diego DiFalco and Carolina Zokalski, Aurora Lubiz and Jorge Firpo and one of the founders of the European tango scene, Brigitta Winkler of Berlin. PLUS we have two nights with the foremost tango orchestra in the world today, the original COLOR TANGO, under the direction of Roberto Alvarez. This great orchestra meticulously recreates the sound of the immortal Osvaldo Pugliese Orchestra. Just close your eyes and you'll feel you're in the great tango salons of the 1940s! We also have three of North America's BEST tango deejays--Robert Hauk of Portland, Dan Boccia of Anchorage and Robin Thomas of New York. So come on out to a glorious week of tango: 110 classes, 8 milongas, Closing Night Dinner/Maestros' Show & Grande Tango Ball--all at a beautiful beach venue under the fabulous California sunshine! Full event: $689 per person; July 4-5-6 weekend: $465 per person. It's the best tango week bargain in North America. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Card. Here are some highlights of the class schedule:
