Focus on Dancing & Parties

Previous events have been non-stop parties. We'll have over 30 hours
of dancing from Friday night to the wee hours of Monday morning. Last
year we had 160 visitors from around the US plus over 100 of the
local Denver area tango dancers.

The Milonguero Weekend Features:

 - Friday Afternoon: Welcome Milonga.
 - Friday Evening: Milonga at the Mercury Café with
Live Music of the Extasis Quartet.
 - Saturday Afternoon: Tango Classes with visiting milongueros
   designed for meeting and mixing.
 - Saturday Evening: Tango Dinner, Concert with the Extasis
Octet, followed by a DJ milonga.
 - Sunday: Workshop on Community Building.
 - Sunday Evening: Tango Picnic & Outdoor Milonga at Cheesman
   Park Pavilion by Tango Colorado.
 - Sunday Night: Tango until dawn.

Saturday Workshop:

We'll have three separate rooms for Saturday workshops, two for
Advanced or Adv-intermediate people to mix, meet and work on
musicality, and navigation. One room for Intermediate dancers, who
wish to work more on vocabulary, fundamentals and navigation.

Sunday Workshop:

Give your feet a break; socialize with all the visitors. We will have
small-group discussions/workshops on the tango trance, community
building, organizing, Music/Djing, teaching beginners, etc. Bring
your own ideas and contributions.

Early Arrivals

Arrive early for Tango workshops on Wednesday & Thursday with Alex
Krebs of Portland, Oregon. (These cost extra).

Hotel:

Most events this year will be in The Denver Doubletree hotel. It is
nice, but inexpensive, and includes a free shuttle from the airport.
It will make things more convenient for attendees. There will be a
bus to get to the outdoor milonga on Sunday, but you MIGHT need to
take a taxi one way on occasion.

Due to a car race in downtown Denver, you need to reserve a hotel
space as soon as you can in order to ensure a spot at a reasonable
price.

Arriving in Denver:

Doubletree/Red Lion shuttle to the hotel.

Kick-off events are scheduled for Friday afternoon at the hotel, or
show up at the Mercury Cafe on Friday night. The Mercury will be
crowded, but the dance will run from 9:30 to 2:00 or later.

First events on Saturday are at 1:00.
