Triangle Tangueros were fortunate to host a weekend with this fabulous couple during the Labor Day weekend in 2001 (Aug.31-Sept.3, 2001). They are not only great show dancers but also wonderful social tango dancers, very clear and patient instructors as well as very prompt and careful professionals! After their show with four dances left the audience (~120 people) breathless at Carrboro Century Center, their workshops with over 50 people (for the first time in the Triangle) fascinated all the students who had the chance of taking their classes. The workshop participants felt that they were taught very carefully, and received individual attention whenever necessary despite the crowdedness of the classes! Miami Blvd., Durham, NC 27703) 12:30 - 2:30 pm Tango I Leads, correct position of upper body, axis, musicality on the basic steps. 3:00-5:00 pm Vals Salida basica sincopada, Salida paralela y cruzada using syncopation, Musicality. ***Special Milonga at Montas International Lounge Saturday, August 10 8:00pm - 10:30pm Join us for a special evening of Argentine tango, vals, milonga, swing, and salsa. Miami Blvd, Durham, NC 27703) 12:30 - 2:30 pm Tango II Giros technique. For the men: How to lead the giros without pushing the lady. For the Ladies: How to feel the correct speed for the giros and when to stop the molinetes around the man. 3:00-5:00 pm Milonga Musicality, men and women embellishment for the quick Milonga steps. 1/2 giros and ochos chicos and how to play some Tango steps on Milonga rhythm. Series of basic steps and how to mix all of them at the and of the class. How to lead and follow all the steps in a very close embrace for the Milonga style.
