It is with great pleasure that I announce our Sixth Annual "Weekend of Tango in Tampa!" August 22 - 24th, 2003.
This will be a wonderful weekend, full of classes, milongas, shows, food, live music, and much more. This year a featured couples will be Miriam Larici & Hugo Patyn and Cesar Coelho & Mayte Valdes, both from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Miriam and Hugo were stars of "Forever Tango" for many years and are extremely dynamic dancers. Over the last few years they have built equally impressive resumes as teachers. They teach a very classic style of Tango based on good technique, musicality, and strong connection with your partner. Cesar also has starred in "Forever Tango" and his new partner, Mayte, has a strong background in classical dance as well as many hours in the milongas of Buenos Aires. Cesar's approach to teaching is unique as he combines his traditional Tango background with his modern dance background to help you improve the technical aspects of dancing as well as increasing your enjoyment of Tango. The classes throughout the weekend will be separated into intermediate and advanced levels. Both classes will run simultaneously so there will be 8 intermediate and 8 advanced classes over the three days. There will be milongas on all three nights with live music on Sundays grand finale milonga. The schedule for the weekend is: Fri 7:30pm - 8:45pm Workshop #1 Tango Fri 9:00pm - ?
