Tango Downtown is honored to host our third annual weekend workshop with master milonguero Cacho Dante, one of Argentina¹s most refined and elegant dancers, and a wonderful teacher. Sat Nov 1 Classes <> 12:00am-1:45pm: Dancing on a crowded floor. Navigational skills, changes of direction, etc. <> 2:00-3:45pm: Dancing in your own space. Turns around the shared axis. Saturday¹s classes are for intermediate level dancers & up (have studied/ danced Argentine Tango for at least one year; prior experience with Milonguero Style suggested.) Classes to be gender/role balanced with limited enrollment. Pre-registration required. <> Saturday Night Dance Party - Times/Location To Be Announced. Sun Nov 2 Classes <> 12:00am-1:45pm: Dancing the Pauses & Silences. <> 2:00-3:45pm: Advanced Techniques in Milonguero Style. Sunday¹s classes are for dancers of advanced-intermediate level & up (have danced Argentine Tango two or more years) Previous studies with Cacho Dante, Susana Miller &/or Alicia Pons advised. For these classes to be gender/role balanced, we ask that dancers plan to attend with a compatible partner (we¹ll assist visitors or those new to the NM community). Limited enrollment, with placement priority given to Saturday & Sunday Package/Full Weekend registrants. Pre-registration required. <> Sunday Dance Party 7:30-10:30pm, at Kelly¹s Brew Pub. Hosted by Tango Club of Albuquerque. Mon Nov 3 Musicality Class with Cacho <> Class 7:30-9:00 pm. Informal dancing to 10:00 pm. For all levels. For beginning dancers, it will serve as an introduction to Cacho¹s instruction. For those who participated in weekend classes, or have studied with Cacho in the past, it will round out your workshop with Cacho, bringing you back to the basics, grounding your experience in the essential elements of musicality and the embrace. <> Weekend Package - Sat, Sun & Mon Classes (all 5 classes) $100 <> Saturday Class Package Both Sat Classes $50 <> Sunday Class Package Both Sun Classes $50 <> Saturday or Sunday individual classes $30 each, as available. <> Mon Nov 3, Musicality Class $25 To register: email [email protected] for mailing address & details.
