I had the pleasure of meeting Luis Feldman, who has been a life-long fan of Carlos Gardel and who for the past 14 years has been researching the life of Gardel. Mr. Feldman has a degree in Economics from the University of Buenos Aires, but now dedicates his time to his small video store in El Once where one can find all the films of Gardel on video (and some on DVD). A friend and I chatted for three hours with Mr. Feldman who invited us to see his personal collection of Gardel photos and documents.
Mr. Feldman has an exclusive arrangement with the families of Osvaldo Pugliese and Roberto Goyeneche to sell their videos as well. If anyone wants to talk an authority on Gardel, Mr. Feldman is the one to know. He talked to a theater director about Gardel who is currently presenting a show about the secret life of Gardel with all the material she acquired from Mr. Feldman; unfortunately, she doesn't give him any credit nor did she pay him for his consultation.
