Rio de Janeiro, Brasil Argentine Tango Transformative Seminar Nov. 4-13th, 2004 Paulo wishes to create a special atmosphere to foster the passion and sensitivity of your tango. In his vocabulary, tango technique and emotionality must develop simultaneously to reach the higher levels of tango. He has thoughtfully prepared a program which will encompass both the needs of the tango student and traveler. He proposes daily semi-private classes with him as well as classes in related dance and movement specialties. Some classes will be held in his studio Xango and others in unique locations of special beauty and energy in order to harness other aspects of transformation and awareness. Students will stay together in apartments, either private or double rooms, although hotel accommodations will also be available. They will practice in the milongas of Rio. There will be outings to taste other aspects of Brazilian culture. Students who are already acquainted with the fundamentals of Paulo's unique system of teaching will receive priority in reserving for this trip. There will be a maximum of about 10 students. This may be the experience to change your life. Included in the trip are the following: * 9 days and 8 nights stay in beautiful apartment style lodgings near the white sandy beaches of Rio de Janeiro *Transfers to and from airport to lodgings * Daily small group tango classes with Paulo, 2 hours per day (seven in all). *Specialty classes every day in topics specifically chosen by Paulo, such as related dance or movement disciplines, or in specific tango techniques 1.5 - 2 hours per day. *City wide tour *Nightly excursions to milongas (including Paulo's own milonga on Friday nights) or other typical Brazilian hot spots including "chorinho" or the theatre with all entrance and transportation fees paid * 3 group meals at typical Brazilian restaurants *Plenty of free time for shopping, swimming, sunbathing and exploration of the city. *Some special surprises The cost of this trip is $1198 (if paid by Sept 15, 2004). This cost is based on apartment double room occupancy. Single room supplement please add $300. If paid after Sept 15, cost will be $1298. Cost of trip does not include: airfare, taxi rides within the city, personal shopping or incidentals, tips, other meals not listed. To reserve a space, a non-refundable deposit of $398 is required.
