An important congress of the Spanish language will take place this week in Rosario, Province of Sante Fe, Argentina: III Congreso Internacional de la Lengua Espanola for academics, students and writers to discuss the linguistic and globalization challenges. Spanish is the second most important language in the world and a fundamental part of Argentina's cultural heritage.
In conjunction with this Congreso, the Academia Argentina de Letras has published a new dictionary of Argentine speech which includes argentinismos and lunfardo. It was published by La Nacion and is available at newspaper stands in book or CD-ROM for 30 pesos.
