Gato and Andrea started dancing together in 1998. They dance "Tango Salón" with
refinement and distinction, which is the most attractive style of Tango to be
shown on stage.
Together they have formed a well-known reputation not only for their elegance,
technique and musicality, but also for their “caminar a tierra” which has made
them become real representatives of the typical tango “porteño”. As teachers
they have developed through many years of experience and work, a teaching
method based on the technique of posture, balance, axes, weight changes, rhythm
and especially on the tango walk, making emphasis on the interpretation of the
music, and encouraging the students to express their feelings when dancing.

5:00-6:15 Ladies`s technique (all levels): excersises on posture, balance,
changes of weight, waist rotation, walking, "ochos" and turns
6:25-7:40 Men`s technique: (all levels): body posture, body atittude, changes
of weight, balnce, fundamentals for walking, changes of rythm, "abanicos",
double time excercises
7:45-9:15 Tango (Beginner- intermediate): tango salòn fundamentals, smooth
walking, following, chage of direction, pauses, musicality and coordination.

12:00-1:15 Ladies`Technique: (It is advisable that the students take the first
class to participate in this one): review fisrt class, simple voleos ( low &
high), embellishments for walking and for "ochos". Turns with voleos, excersise
for good ganchos
1:30-2:45 Men`s Technique: (second part) review first class, body rotation,
turns, "enrosques" and "planeos" for turns, leading technique for turns and
voleos
3:00-4:30 Tango Intermediate: Simple turns with "entradas", turns with soflt
"sacadas" and double time exit. Voleos. Combinations
Sun May 1
1:00-2:30 Tango upper-intermediate to Advanced: double turns with left and
right leg, turns with barridas and ganchos
2:45-3:15 Tango Advanced: Turns and counter turns, low and hight sacadas. Turns
on the left. Combinations and sequencies
3:30-5:00 Tango-Vals (Itermediate to advanced): rythm and musicality, smooth
sacadas, specific turns and patterns. Sequencies

The much loved and respected star of "Assassination Tango", as well as many
other acclaimed Tango accomplishments is returning to Detroit and ATD!!!!

Daniela and Armando are multi talented and diversified in their expression of
the tango. Through their choreography, they uniquely express the many facets
of the tango world in every performance. They have successfully amalgamated
the originality of the “Golden Era” with the powerful styles of the “modern”
tango of today.
Armando was born in "La Boca", a suburb of Buenos Aires, known as the birth
place of the Tango. His first professional contact with the Tango was at the
age of fourteen, as a sound technician for a "tangueria" (Tango house for
turist) in Buenos Aires. This enriching experience surrounded him with the
foremost dancers, singers and orchestras of the Tango world. Ten years later he
began to study the Tango himself. Armando learned to dance from the original
"milongueros" and began his professional career in 1990, after meeting Daniela.
