Tango Zen is an innovative yet natural idea of meditating while dancing Tango. Building on the striking similarities between Tango and Zen, this Workshop will introduce methods through which dancers at any skill level and non-dancers alike can experience and enjoy the benefits that result from integrating Tango and Zen. Introducing basic concepts of Zen meditation, breathing and posture, exercises for establishing mindfulness, and connection with one's partner and music. Class 2: 13:30h-15h Tango Fundamentals-I: Focus on centering, weight-shifting, and walking in close embrace. Sunday May 15th Class 1: 12h -13:15 Tango Zen-II: "Tango Zen mind, beginner's mind" Focus on converging mind and body by practicing simple tango movements with mindfulness. Class 2: 13:30 15h Tango Fundaments-II: Adding complexity to your tango by practicing simple movements.
