Hola Tangueros,
Tango Quintet, Tangueros de Ley, in collaboration with Pittsburghs extensive
Tango Community and the Artists Upstairs Gallery, brings you ARTANGO.
Artango is a weekend full of Art Exhibits, dance, films, poetry and Tango dance
workshops with Alex Krebs and Florencia Taccetti.
And of course Artango weekend will be full of live music, from traditional to
modern to original tango electronica and nightly Milonga dance parties by
Tangueros de Ley.
Artango is a city-wide event: Dance Workshops are DAILY in Regent Square and
East Liberty

WHATS HAPPENING (THE LONG VERSION)
Pittsburghs Tango Community is joining forces to bring you several tango
events
converging on a single weekend called ARTANGO
ARTANGO is a city-wide event.
Tango Dance Workshops by experts Alex Krebs and Florencia Taccetti will be in
the
Wilkins School Community Center, 7604 Charleston Ave in Regent Square. Daily
workshop times are posted on the Pittsburgh Tangueros website
<www.pittsburghtangueros.org>. Childrens Tango Workshops will be held at the
Hope Academy in East Liberty Presbyterian Saturday at 2 and 3.

On Friday and Saturday evenings the Artists Upstairs Gallery at 911 Penn Ave
opens for a huge multimedia show including poetry, film, dance performance and
first step introductions by PATangoS, tango music, tango electronica, and art
exhibits. The Tango Cafi will be serving authentic Argentinean food.
The gallery events begin at 5:30 and last until 1:00 on Friday and 9:00 on
Saturday. On
Friday, Tangueros de Ley will host a Milonga dance party from 9-1 at the Artists
Upstairs Gallery. On Saturday, the Gallery events end at 9:00 in order to attend
the Pittsburgh
Tangueros Milonga in the Wilkins School Community Center from 9-2 where Alex
Krebs will perform on Bandoneon with Tangueros de Ley.
On Sunday, after the dance workshops, Casablanca Bistro 212 6th St. will host a
Tango Dinner Party featuring a prix fixe menu and an a la carte menu. Everyone
is welcome to dine, dance and socialize from 6-12.
