Internationally renowned master of the bandoneon, Daniel Binelli, joins the
Spokane Symphony Orchestra under the direction of conductor Morihiko
Nakahara for its "Latin Fiesta" This Wednesday, May 25th, at 7:30pm at the
beautiful Spokane Opera House in downtown Spokane. A seasoned composer in
his own right, Binelli is also widely acclaimed as the foremost exponent and
torchbearer of the music of Astor Piazzolla.

"Binelli's ability to wring melancholic sobbing and sighing out of this
reedy instrument, combined with an exceptional sensitivity towards
Piazzolla's melodic inspirations, is both remarkable and evocate." Sydney
Opera House, Sept.2003 THE AUSTRALIAN

Sharing the stage with Sr. Binelli and the Spokane Symphony Orchestra are
tango dancers Deborah Sclar and Brian Dunn of Boulder, Colorado. They will
dance four tangos, one with solo accompaniment by Sr. Binelli, and three
more including the full orchestra. This marks the second time Brian and
Deborah have joined Daniel onstage, reprising their first meeting last
summer as guest artists and tango workshop teachers for the Colorado Music
Festival's "Evening of Tango."

Ticket prices range from $30 to $15, with a $10 discount for full-time
students.
