Dear friends, It is our pleasure to welcome to Toronto two of our favourite teachers, Ney Melo and Mariana Fresno, for a weekend of CLOSE EMBRACE workshops on Saturday, July 30 and Sunday July 31.
Mariana Fresno & Ney Melo have created a unique style by blending the traditional elegance of the close-embrace or "milonguero" style with the nuevo tango style of tango. They combine fluency, subtlety, energy and dynamics, together with a unique interpretation of the music. Based in New York City, they recently conducted a teaching and performing tour of the US, Canada, Australia, and Asia. They were invited as guest teachers and performers at 1st Annual Toronto TANGOFEST 2005 where they conducted very successful workshops.
