Woodstock Tango welcomes back Junior Cervila - the "Gene Kelly of Latin
Dance" - for another incredible visit to the Woodstock arts colony,
beginning Saturday, August 13th- Monday August 15th.
The weekend begins with two Intermediate/Advanced level Argentine Tango
workshops Saturday afternoon at the Mountain View Studio in Woodstock,
NY, followed on Sunday by an extraordinary workshop on SALSA. Junior
is internationally known as one of the most spectacular and respected
tango performers/teachers/choreographers in the world, but one of his
first love's is dancing salsa! He rarely teaches salsa, so this is an
extraordinary opportunity to learn and fine tune your moves fromthis
extraordinary artist..

3-4:30p: Tango Essentials for dancers with Experience:
Improve your dance 100%. Develop your own style --Clean up your
technique! Embrace, connection, balance, musicality, walks, turns.
4:45-6:15p: Intermediate/Advanced: The latest from Junior! Depending on
class composition, may include volcada's, colgada's, cool sacadas et al.
SATURDAY EVENING MILONGA:
8p-9p: Introductory Group Lesson
9p: MILONGA (Argentine Tango Dance Party)!
Milonga Only: $15, includes Lesson, Buffet, Demo, Door Prizes!
The milonga includes the great classic recordings of tango with a lively
mix of new tango, plus salsa breaks, with DJ Inez.
Workshops and Milonga are held at The MOUNTAIN VIEW STUDIO, Mountain
View Avenue, Woodstock NY. Reservations strongly suggested.
$25 per workshop ($20 for members); 2 workshops @ $45 ($35 members),
2 workshops plus milonga per person - $55 (members $45)

Antonio "Junior" Cervila is an internationally known performer,
choreographer and instructor. He is regarded as one of the finest
teachers and innovators of tango, recognized for his creative tango
stylings, his intricate footwork, as well as his dance versatility.
Known as the 'Gene Kelly of Latin dance", he first came to prominence
for his key role in the classic Academy Award- nominated film Tango,
and in the 2000 Broadway production of Tango Argentino. His
performances have been seen worldwide on Argentinean television, on
stage (Broadway's "Tango Argentino"), on tour (most notably with Julio
Iglesias) and on screen. Most recently, Junior produced "Latin Dance
Carnival", a musical extravaganza using music and dance to dramatically
depict the evolution of Latin culture from it's African roots. Junior's
own company of dancers performed to standing ovations in Japan. South
America and Europe.
Junior is beloved by his students for his generosity of spirit and
clear, concise teaching techniques. His classes primarily focus on
proper technique for social dancing and are excellent preparation for
those interested to learn how to navigate smoothly on a crowded dance
floor as well as for those who wish to be challenged by demanding figures.

Aires and known for their excellent social dance style, are dedicated
to teaching 'close embrace' as danced in the clubs of B.A. - Afternoon
workshops, evening milonga and Sunday privates.
