JUDY MARGOLIS & JON MARTIN -
Living and breathing tango is how Judy y Jon describe their lives. They
believe the soul of tango is found between a man and a woman dancing on
a public floor. They are known for the intensity of their dance and for
their excellent social dance style. They are acclaimed for their clear
teaching technique and individual attention to students. They believe
that pasos (steps) are tools that help us learn technique which frees us
to explore the deeper meaning of the dance. What is more, Jon and Judy
are great communicators--witty, energetic, and fun.

COMMENT FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE TAKEN JUDY Y JON'S CLASS -

Dear Jon and Judy:

I have been pondering my private lesson with you yesterday, and why it
was so hugely valuable and uniquely enjoyable. As I'm sure you know,
students always respond to teachers who want them to learn and grow. I
certainly felt your encouragement, felt I was in good hands, and
appreciated the easy atmosphere you established for learning.

To be able to dance -- at length -- with a master (a teaching master as
well as a dance master), to have a second pair of masterful eyes
watching and
correcting, to hear the concepts conveyed in the clearest of language,
to have so much material covered, and covered well, to get
misunderstandings of technique cleared up, to be able to say "Eureka!
Now I get it!" and to be smiling the whole time -- that's the richest of
experiences.
Be well and best regards,
Barbara Davis

Just a note to say that Jon and Judy gave a most SPECTACULAR performance
last Thursday at the Tango Fireworks festival in Los Angeles.
They were asked to perform before the 200-300 conference participants
from the U.S., Europe, Japan and Australia, and before some of the best
tango dancers and performers in the world. Jon and Judy made Arizona
look fantastic-exhibiting wonderful, highly original choreography, stage
presence, style and grace. When the song came to an end, it was
difficult to contain my excitement at their triumph. We should all be
very proud of
the incredible skills they have acquired in their years of study both in
the U.S. and in Buenos Aires, mastering both tango for performance as well
as the very different, but perhaps more important, tango for social
settings and milongas.
