Gerardo Perez, Music Director of the American Tango Institute and conductor of the newly formed tango Orchestra Bohemia, will play a set during a buffet dinner in Hyde Park this Friday, April 7. The First Fridays event at the Quandrangle Club of the University of Chicago, from 6:00-9:00 pm, typically features live jazz music (a set of which will be played before and after Gerardos set). Gerardo intends to play selections from Piazolla and other tango composers. Reservations MUST BE made no later than 5:00 pm on Thursday, April 6 through Charlotte Vikstrom at 773.493.0666 or 773.493.6152; seating is limited. The dinner buffet and 3 sets of live music is included for $20, payable to Charlotte. Charlotte will provide directions to the Quadrangle Club in Hyde Park upon reservation.
